Bone graftings are available in many forms such as autologous or donor block grafts, autologous or donor particulate grafts, Xenografts (bovine), and synthetic grafts.

BONE GRAFTS WITH APRF OR CGF

Human Block grafts are harvested from a patient’s chin, ramus, or other area in the body or can be obtained from cadaver donor. Human Particulate grafts are harvested similar to block graft but in granule form. Bovine block or particulate grafts are harvested from cow. Synthetic grafts are not derived from human nor animal.

BONE GRAFTS WITH A-PRF OR CGF

Dr Duong’s primary focus is in bone manipulation or expansion and prefers graftless approach in placing dental implants. Dr Duong, however, in his opinion, believed that certain surgical dental implant cases where bone manipulation poses difficult or anatomically challenging or complicated, then bone grafting with autologous A-PRF (third generation platelets rich fibrin) or CGF is the prefer choice. At CDG, most of our bone graftings are enhanced with A-PRF (third generation platelets rich fibrin) and/or CGF to promote faster healing and minimize discomfort post-operatively.

At CDG with special centrifugation system and techniques, Dr. Duong collects and harvests autologous A-PRF (third generation platelets rich fibrin). A-PRF contains large amount of autologous growth factors to promote faster soft tissue healing, enhance bone formation. reduce imflamation, swelling and discomfort post operatively.
